Dr. Shana D. Lewis attended the University of Houston-Central campus and received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 1998. From there, Mrs. Lewis went on to earn her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with a clinical mental health focus from Troy State University-Holloman AFB, New Mexico campus in 2001. Dr. Lewis received her doctorate from Sam Houston State University in Counselor Education.
Dr. Lewis has over 17 years of experience working in the mental health field serving adult, child, and adolescent clients in schools, day programs, inpatient hospitals, outpatient community mental health facilities and church organizations.
Dr. Lewis specializes in addressing women's issues including depression, anxiety, self esteem, relationship problems, domestic violence, and stress. Dr. Lewis also has a great amount of experience working with children and adolescent mental health issues and their families.
Dr. Lewis has also been a faculty member at the University of Phoenix where she teaches at the Bachelors level. She is also an adjunct faculty at both Sam Houston State University and Lamar University where she teaches graduate courses in counseling.
Dr. Lewis is the owner and clinical director of Living Well Professional Counseling Services, PLLC. In addition to this, Dr. Lewis is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and she is also a LPC supervisor. She is also the Executive Director and Founder of Her VOICE, a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence through mentorship and education.
